The expensive part is not the check

A product can look sellable and still hide a reason not to buy it.

A low supplier price, attractive listing or strong idea does not answer whether Amazon may restrict the product, a rights owner may object, the supplier evidence may fail, or the listing claims may create risk.

01

IP and authorization

A familiar-looking design, brand reference or reseller arrangement can require verification before money is committed.

02

Compliance

Product type, claims, category and marketplace can change which documents or safety evidence may be needed.

03

Supplier evidence

An invoice or supplier promise may not contain the legal, product or authorization details needed for verification.

04

Money at risk

The later a warning is found, the more may already be tied up in samples, deposits, inventory, freight or listing work.

Not just a coloured verdict

Your result should tell you what to do next.

CAI Basic organizes the decision so a beginner can understand the problem without already knowing Amazon terminology.

1

Decision

Proceed, Verify or Stop—paired with Green, Yellow or Red.

2

Cause and effect

See what triggered the result and what could happen if the concern is ignored.

3

Evidence required

Identify the document, authorization, test, supplier detail or clarification that could resolve uncertainty.

4

Next steps and recheck

Complete the priority actions, update the information and use another included check when appropriate.

Three decisions

Know whether to continue, pause or change direction.

Proceed · Green

Risk appears manageable

See why no blocking concern was identified, the precautions that remain, and what should be validated next before launch.

Verify · Yellow

Pause and collect evidence

See what is uncertain, which evidence may resolve it and the corrective actions to complete before committing more money.

Stop · Red

Do not proceed under this plan

See the serious concern, whether the sourcing or product plan may be changed, and when another product should be considered.

Frequently asked questions

Know what you are buying.

What counts as one product check?

One completed submission for one product counts as one check. CAI Basic includes 10 product checks during each 30-day plan period.

What should I have ready?

Use the product ASIN or Amazon listing when available, supplier-product information, intended marketplace, how far you have gone with the product, and any documents or concerns you already know about.

Does Green or Proceed mean the product is guaranteed safe?

No. It means the submitted information did not produce an identified blocking concern. Independent supplier, documentation, IP, product-safety, marketplace and commercial verification may still be required.

Can CAI Basic tell me which compliance documents may be required?

It can identify likely requirements and evidence gaps based on the product, marketplace and information submitted. Requirements can change and must be verified with current official or professional sources before selling.

Is CAI Basic a profitability or launch forecast?

No. CAI Basic is the Product Validation risk step. Demand, complete landed-cost analysis, competitor feasibility, listing execution and launch planning belong to later tools or services.

Can CAI Basic handle an Amazon suspension or legal dispute?

No. It is primarily a pre-purchase product-risk decision tool. An existing account warning, suspension, legal claim or urgent enforcement issue requires the appropriate support or qualified professional.

Important: CAI provides informational risk-screening and decision-support tools. Results are based on the information submitted and do not guarantee Amazon approval, legal compliance, product safety, profitability or freedom from intellectual-property claims. Sellers remain responsible for independent supplier, legal, compliance and commercial due diligence.
